FINANCE MANAGER / STANDALONE POSITION

CENTRAL LONDON (HYBRID AVAILABLE)

£60,000 to £65,000 (Possibly Neg.) + BENEFITS

THE OPPORTUNITY: We're partnering with a well-established and growing international business that is looking to recruit a standalone Finance Manager to take full ownership of the day-to-day finance function across its UK and international operations.

This is a hands-on position and would suit an experienced Finance Manager, Management Accountant or Company Accountant who is comfortable being the main finance person within a business, managing the full day-to-day accounting function whilst working closely with the COO and senior leadership team.

You'll have responsibility for the internal finance function across multiple entities, covering transactional finance, month-end, reporting, cashflow, budgeting, supplier management and financial controls, as well as accounts payable, accounts receivable and general transactional bookkeeping.

THE FINANCE MANAGER ROLE

Full ownership of the day-to-day finance function across multiple UK and international entities, operating as the standalone internal finance lead

Managing the bookkeeping and accounting processes, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded within the accounting system

Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including supplier invoices, client invoicing, payment tracking and aged balances and regular bank reconciliations

Supporting the month-end close and producing monthly financial reports, including P&L information and expenditure analysis

Managing supplier relationships, purchase orders and payment processes, ensuring appropriate approvals are in place

Monitoring expenditure against budgets and highlighting variances to senior management. Supporting budgeting, forecasting and ongoing cashflow management across the business

Managing and reconciling commission payments, referral fees and other variable payments

Acting as the main point of contact for outsourced accountants across the countries in which the business operates

Preparing and providing financial information for VAT returns, statutory accounts, tax filings and other local compliance requirements

Reviewing expenses and ensuring costs are correctly allocated across entities, departments and projects

Identifying opportunities to improve and automate finance processes, systems and reporting

THE PERSON

Current experience within a Finance Manager, Management Accountant, Company Accountant, Senior Accountant or similar role, ideally holding a standalone role.

Strong hands-on accounting experience with the confidence to take ownership of an end-to-end finance function

Experience managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations and month-end processes

Confident producing management information and supporting budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management

Experience working across multiple entities or within an international business would be advantageous

Must have experience of processing and calculating commissions, ideally in a software / brokerage / affiliate environment.

Experience using QuickBooks, Xero or a similar accounting system.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to confidently work with financial data

Ability to fluently speak French, in addition to English, would be a significant advantage.
