Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a role where your expertise will directly influence the success of a growing business? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a highly successful, fast-growing music business with a multi-million-pound annual turnover and a diverse portfolio of companies. We're looking for a commercially minded Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function across multiple entities, providing accurate financial reporting, strategic insight and robust financial control.This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work closely with the CEO, becoming a trusted adviser and playing a key part in supporting the company's continued growth.
The Opportunity As Finance Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day financial operations across multiple business entities while delivering meaningful financial insight to support commercial decision-making. You'll be responsible for maintaining strong financial controls, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities to improve business performance.This is a varied role that offers real ownership, autonomy and the opportunity to make a genuine impact within an ambitious organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Taking full ownership of the finance function across multiple group companies and business entities.
Producing accurate monthly management accounts, financial reports and performance analysis for the CEO and senior leadership team.
Leading budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management, ensuring the business maintains strong financial stability.
Delivering commercial analysis and financial insight to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
Managing all balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting and month-end reporting processes.
Preparing and submitting VAT returns and ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations.
Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit control to maintain healthy cash flow across the group.
Managing payroll or working alongside external payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely processing.
Acting as the primary point of contact for external accountants, auditors, banks and financial advisers.
Supporting year-end statutory accounts and coordinating the annual audit process where required.
Developing and improving financial systems, controls and reporting processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Producing KPI reports, dashboards and financial forecasts to support business planning.
Supporting acquisitions, new business ventures and commercial projects with financial modelling and due diligence.
Identifying opportunities to improve profitability, reduce costs and strengthen financial performance across the business.
Maintaining complete confidentiality while handling commercially sensitive financial information.
Working closely with the CEO to provide proactive financial guidance and support key business initiatives.
About You We're looking for a proactive finance professional who enjoys taking ownership and thrives in a fast-paced commercial environment.
Previous experience in a Finance Manager or similar position.
Experience managing finance across multiple companies or legal entities.
Strong knowledge of management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using accounting software.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills and the confidence to work directly with senior leadership.
A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to streamline processes and implement best practices.
AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification (or qualified by experience with a proven track record).
