Job Description
As a Finance Data Analyst in the retail industry, you will play a pivotal role in providing data-driven insights to support financial decision-making. This permanent position is based in Uxbridge and requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounting and finance processes.

Description
Finance Data Analyst responsibilities
Examine financial data to uncover trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
Produce consistent finance and performance reports
Support the creation of KPI and performance reporting packs
Evaluate revenue streams, cost structures, and key business drivers
Develop and maintain detailed reports to support strategic decision-making
Assist in building financial models to forecast future outcomes
Derive clear, actionable insights from large datasets
Identify and implement process improvements, including automation and AI-driven solutions
Present financial insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Profile
A successful Finance Data Analyst should have
Strong academic background in accounting, finance, data science, or a related discipline
Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, pivot tables, and structured reporting; experience with Power BI is advantageous but not essential
Proficient in financial analysis and reporting using spreadsheets and database tools
Experienced in managing and interpreting large datasets
Sound understanding of accounting standards and financial regulations
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail
Effective communicator, able to present insights clearly to a range of audiences
