Job Description
SF Partners are exclusively working with a well established Manufacturing business to recruit a commercially focused and proactive Finance Business Partner.
Reporting into the Finance Director, this is a high-profile role where you will play a key part in driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring strong financial governance across multiple programmes and engineering projects.
You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing timely financial insight, challenge and analysis to support both operational and strategic objectives.
The Role
As Finance Business Partner, you will work closely with the Finance Director, Programme Managers and the engineering leadership team to provide clear financial guidance across project performance, budgeting, forecasting, commercial analysis and governance.
Key responsibilities will include
Partnering with senior finance, technical and programme stakeholders to support decision- making
Providing regular reporting and analysis on project performance, risks, opportunities and cost drivers
Monitoring project budgets across multiple programmes
Supporting financial planning, customer invoicing and commercial analysis
Taking ownership of the annual budgeting process for the engineering function
Leading periodic forecasting activities and identifying risks and opportunities
Preparing and presenting financial insight to senior leadership and board-level stakeholders
Improving financial processes, reporting tools and data quality
Supporting financial awareness across non-finance teams
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, with proven experience in a Finance Business Partner or commercial finance role.
You will bring strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis experience, alongside the ability to build relationships, influence senior stakeholders and present complex financial information clearly to non-financial audiences.
Experience within automotive, engineering, manufacturing or technical environments would be highly advantageous, as would previous project accounting experience.
This role will be office based with the option of working 1 to 2 days a week from home.
