Overview

We are currently seeking a Field Account Manager to join our client’s team based in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy, managing their own diary, and building strong relationships with customers in a face-to-face environment.

The Role

In this field-based position, you will be responsible for managing customer relations of a portfolio of existing customers, while handling any disputes or complaints.

Key responsibilities include

Visiting both new and existing customers to build and maintain strong relationships

Managing a portfolio of accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction

Handling customer queries and resolving issues efficiently and professionally

Negotiating contract terms to ensure continuity of business

Working closely with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met

Planning and managing your own diary to maximise productivity

Visiting customers that are difficult to engage remotely, resolving complaints and strengthening relationships

Making confident, on-the-spot decisions to resolve challenges while protecting the company’s commercial position

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have

Full UK driving license required

Previous experience in account management or a similar customer-facing role

Strong customer relationship and complaint resolution experience

Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage a busy workload using a CRM system

Strong organisational and time management skills

Good geographical knowledge of Birmingham and surrounding areas

Experience working in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication and IT skills
