Are you an experienced ER professional who enjoys partnering with managers to navigate complex employee relations matters? We're looking for someone with a strong ER background who can provide expert guidance on disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, absence cases, and organisational change, while helping to create a positive and productive employee experience. If you're CIPD qualified (or equivalent) and passionate about delivering practical, commercially focused HR support, we'd love to hear from you. As the ER Advisor you will be responsible for assisting and guiding Line Managers on how to manage all employee relation matters such as disciplinaries, grievances, appeal and absence management to enable delivery of the HR Strategy and associated people plans.
Provide guidance and support to line managers on the correct application of both formal and informal ER matters, including performance management, grievances and absence management.
Assist (e.g. attend disciplinary hearings as management representative) or participate in formal ER matters where appropriate to do so (e.g. undertake investigations and disciplinaries). Most often however, the expectation is for you to assist and guide line managers through this process.
Provide wider levels of advice and guidance on ER matters addressing issues of morale, employee recognition, employee engagement and communication.
Help prepare, organise and maintain any documentation needed to assist informal or formal ER actions (including updating policies in accordance with Employment Law Changes)
Monitor and report to HRBPs any patterns of concerns which cover morale, behavioural and other ER concerns as identified through your daily transactions with the business areas
Provide KPIs and input into the monthly HRBP reports on ER matters
Assist in change management programmes and restructures when appropriate to do so
Provide cover and assistance where required to other business areas of the firm which require ER assistance
Liaise with the business on generalist ER matters and become involved in HR projects where appropriate to do so.
The above list is not exhaustive and the post holder will be required to assist with other HR matters as appropriate.
