Engineering Manager

Walker Cole International is supporting a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation in the search for a Engineering Manager to join their site in West Yorkshire.

This is a senior engineering leadership role responsible for delivering the site's capital investment strategy, overseeing complex engineering projects, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in site expansion, new product introductions, and long-term operational development. Your Responsibilities as Engineering Manager

Develop and execute the site's strategic capital investment plan, translating business objectives into deliverable engineering projects.

Lead a portfolio of capital projects from initiation through to qualification, handover and operational implementation.

Manage capital expenditure budgets, forecasts and project performance to ensure delivery against financial and operational targets.

Lead, coach and develop the Project Engineering team whilst promoting a culture of continuous improvement and project excellence.

Your Background as Engineering Manager

Degree-qualified in Engineering or a related technical discipline with experience within a GMP-regulated environment.

Proven track record delivering capital projects within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device or wider life sciences sector.

Strong understanding of project management principles, contractor management, engineering compliance and HSE requirements.

Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions and organisational levels.
