Job Description

The Core Observability Integration team ensures Datadog’s internal observability needs are met with reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency by operating mission-critical telemetry collection, processing, and storage systems. In this role, you’ll lead and mentor a team based in Paris and distributed in France focused on strengthening our internal observability and practices at Datadog. Focusing in particular on our Telemetry (Logs, APM, Metrics and Cloud Integrations), your team role is to put in place toolings and best practices to improve our reliability, improve our incident response and keep our cost under control.

As the Engineering Manager for the Core Observability Integration Team, you will lead a high-performing team of software reliability engineers (SRE), guiding them in building and maintaining these mission-critical systems. Collaboration is key in this role, you will interact with multiple engineering, product influencing their roadmap to serve Datadog’s needs. Your strategic vision will not only guide your team's day-to-day operations but also influence the long-term roadmap of key products at Datadog.

What You’ll Do

Lead and mentor a team of engineers distributed between Paris and France, supporting career growth through coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.

Translate organization-wide observability needs into clear technical strategies, well-prioritized roadmaps, and measurable OKRs.

Drive delivery of complex, cross-organization initiatives from problem framing through production deployment at Datadog scale.

Guide high-quality technical execution by reviewing designs and pull requests, and establishing engineering standards for reliability, observability, and security.
