About the role: What's in the Box

As the Engineering Manager for the Deliveries squad at HelloFresh, you will lead the engineering vision and execution for how customers control their box week to week. Your squad owns the systems that keep a subscription flexing with the customer's life: skip, pause and resume, reschedule, delivery cadence, delivery day, and address changes — the controls a customer uses before an order locks in at cutoff — along with the home and delivery feed that surfaces them.

Delivery planning is where correctness, resilience, and scale matter most: every change a customer makes must be applied accurately and in time before cutoff, and the platform must hold up at HelloFresh scale — around 7 million active customers across 18 countries, with close to 1 billion meals delivered a year. You and your team will work in a cross-functional squad with product, frontend, and data.

Lead, inspire and grow a cross-functional team of engineers (backend and frontend), ensuring smooth delivery and continuous improvement of the Deliveries systems and tech real estate.

Own the architecture and reliability of the delivery-control experience — skip, pause and resume, reschedule, cadence, delivery day, and address — with a strong focus on correctness, applying changes in time before cutoff, data integrity, and operational excellence.

Drive design decisions for scalable, event-driven services (e.g., Kafka) that apply high volumes of delivery changes reliably, with the highest quality and resilience standards.
