We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join the Business Performance Team in Berlin.
Your mission will be to enable seamless, secure connectivity between healthcare systems by building and scaling Doctolib's self-service integration platform; making system integrations effortless and accessible to healthcare providers across every market we operate in, from a single platform rather than country by country.. You will lead a hybrid team working on the technical backbone that powers Doctolib's international expansion, contributing directly to reducing integration time by 75% and unlocking 500+ certified integrations for 400K+ health professionals and 80M+ patients.

What you'll do
Lead a hybrid team of ~8 engineers (internal employees and contractors), growing internal talent while holding contractors accountable for delivery, and shaping how the two work together as the platform scales
Own end-to-end delivery of integration projects on the platform, ensuring reliability, scalability, and building to national interoperability standards with full compliance to healthcare standards (HL7, FHIR R5/R6)
Drive backend architecture decisions in a JVM-focused stack (Java, Kotlin), championing FHIR-native design and interoperability best practices
Build integrations as a platform that scales across partners, countries and products
Partner with Product, and cross-market engineering teams across France, Germany, and Italy to align on platform priorities and roadmap
Champion AI adoption within the team, enabling MCP-native patterns and AI-assisted integration tooling as part of Doctolib's platform strategy
Mentor and grow internal engineers, while maintaining high delivery standards and engagement with your full team.
