Your new role As an Employment Tax Senior Manager, you will play a key role in a growing and highly regarded tax team, delivering high-quality employment tax advice to a diverse portfolio of clients across a broad range of sectors and sizes. You will work closely with clients on a variety of employment tax matters, including HMRC enquiries, employment status and IR35 reviews, National Minimum Wage compliance, CIS-related matters and wider employment tax advisory projects. You will lead technical assignments from inception through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest professional standards.

Alongside managing key client relationships, you will support the continued growth of the employment tax service through business development activities, networking, proposal writing and identifying opportunities to add value to clients. You will also collaborate with colleagues across the wider tax team on projects such as due diligence assignments, Corporate Criminal Offence reviews and Senior Accounting Officer reviews.This is a genuinely influential position where you will help shape the future direction of the service line, mentor junior team members and work closely with senior leadership to support strategic growth plans.

The role can be based from a number of office locations including Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds or Carlisle, with flexible and hybrid working available.

What you'll need to succeed You will have significant employment tax experience, ideally gained within practice, and will either be operating at Senior Manager level or be an ambitious Manager ready to take the next step in your career.

Strong technical knowledge across all areas of employment tax is essential, combined with excellent communication and relationship-building skills. You will be comfortable working directly with clients, managing complex advisory projects and providing commercially focused solutions to a wide range of challenges.

The successful candidate will be proactive, collaborative and motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the growth of a developing service line within a dynamic and ambitious firm.
