About Dow Group
Dow Group are a family run waste management company based in Cumbernauld who are committed to tackling the events of climate change and were the first recycling firm in Scotland to turn rubbish into fuel. They are a sustainable waste management firm who take their private and public sector customers’ rubbish and recycle it. With over 40 years’ experience their services include skip hire, bin hire, tipper hire, renewables and civil engineering.
About the role
Due to continued growth, they are looking for a confident and hardworking apprentice to join their team to provide support to their business support team! If working for a company who take the effects of global warming seriously then this is the role for you.
Responsibilities
Working as a first response to customers and clients with regards to orders and diary bookings
Becoming a superuser in their bespoke skip hire system Weighsoft to process customers' orders and update booking records
Support the finance function by assisting with preparing information for sales invoices
Using templates via Microsoft Word to provide customers with price quotes and then sending these via Outlook
Using online shared drives to collaborate with the Waste Management and Pick up teams to organise jobs
Utilises Microsoft Packages daily in relation to updating pricing information for requested products and services particularity within Excel

Salary: £14,560 per annum
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm or 8.30am – 4.30pm ( to be agreed at job offer)
