Your New Role As a Digital Learning Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and enhancing high-quality blended and online learning experiences. Working closely with professional services and academic teams, you will provide expert support and guidance on digital learning technologies and pedagogical best practice.
Key responsibilities will include
Improving the use and effectiveness of the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and related technologies to enhance the learner experience
Supporting programme teams in creating engaging and effective online and blended learning solutions
Delivering training sessions, workshops, and guidance to strengthen staff capability and confidence in digital learning tools
Providing specialist advice on learning design, assessment methods, and technology integration
Supporting the implementation and adoption of a new learning platform to ensure a smooth transition
Championing innovation and best practice in digital education, while ensuring adherence to accessibility, copyright, and data protection requirements
This varied role offers the opportunity to contribute to both immediate initiatives and long-term digital transformation projects. What You'll Need to Succeed To thrive in this position, you'll combine technical expertise with educational understanding and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
You will have
Degree-level education (or equivalent experience), alongside a commitment to ongoing professional development
Demonstrable experience supporting digital technologies within an educational setting, including online and blended learning environments
Hands-on experience with learning technologies, digital assessment tools, and delivering training or workshops
A strong understanding of learning design principles and educational technologies
The ability to explain technical concepts clearly and confidently to non-technical audiences
Strong organisational, problem-solving, and relationship management skills
Desirable experience includes relevant professional qualifications (such as CMALT), knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles, and experience contributing to large-scale or cross-functional projects.
