Digital & Design Executive - Professional Football
Greater Manchester - £28,000–£30,000
Axon Moore are currently working exclusively with a professional football organisation in Greater Manchester who are looking for a Digital & Design Executive to join their small, hands-on creative team.
This is a great opportunity for a designer who wants variety. You’ll be creating everything from social media graphics, campaigns and digital content through to matchday creative, commercial assets, print, signage and wider brand activity.
And because this is professional football, you’ll actually be part of the matchday environment, creating the graphics and content that bring fixtures, campaigns and the wider club experience to life.
What will you be doing?
You’ll be involved across the full creative output of the organisation, including:
Creating digital and social media graphics across multiple platforms
Designing matchday graphics, fixtures, line-ups, announcements and promotional content
Producing artwork for print, signage, campaigns and events
Supporting creative campaigns across commercial partnerships, retail, gym, education and events
Developing creative concepts and taking them from initial brief through to final artwork
Helping maintain and develop brand consistency across the organisation
Creating motion graphics and editing video content
Supporting photography and wider content creation
Working with different teams across the organisation to understand briefs and turn ideas into engaging creative
Getting involved in matchdays, events and other key fixtures throughout the season
What are they looking for?
Previous experience in graphic design, digital design or a similar creative role
Strong experience using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
Some experience with After Effects and/or Premiere Pro
A strong eye for typography, layout, branding and visual communication
A portfolio that demonstrates your graphic design work across digital and/or print
The ability to take a brief and turn it into strong creative, even when the brief isn't completely clear
The ability to work quickly and manage multiple deadlines
A genuine interest in football and ideally some exposure to sport, whether professionally, through freelance work, university projects or personal projects
You don't need years and years of experience. They're open to someone early in their career who has a strong portfolio, the right technical skills and the enthusiasm to develop.
If you're a designer who genuinely wants to take your career into professional football, I'd love to hear from you.
