Your new companyYou will be joining a secure engineering environment supporting the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of a business-critical platform and its associated services. The role sits within an established engineering team responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, security and performance of systems operating within a secure operational environment.
Your new roleAs a DevOps Engineer, you will support platform infrastructure, deployment pipelines and live services across AWS-hosted environments. Working closely with development, support and platform teams, you will help maintain operational stability while contributing to automation, infrastructure improvements and service resilience. Key responsibilities
Support AWS-hosted infrastructure and platform services.
Maintain and develop Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
Support Docker-based applications across development, test and production environments.
Assist with CI/CD pipeline development and support using Jenkins, Groovy and GitLab.
Monitor platform health, performance and availability using Elastic, Kibana and related tools.
Investigate and resolve infrastructure, deployment and service-related incidents.
Support networking technologies including VPNs, OpenVPN, Transit Gateway and API Gateway.
Maintain NGINX, PostgreSQL and associated platform services.
Contribute to operational resilience, disaster recovery and service continuity activities.
Perform platform maintenance, patching and security updates.
Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and automation.
Participate in incident response and on-call support activities.
Work within established engineering standards, security controls and operational processes.
Support a 24/7 operational environment and participate in on-call rotas as required.
