Data Engineer - Databricks - AWS - London (Hybrid) - Up to £65,000

You will work with
Modern cloud-based data platforms with a strong focus on Databricks and AWS
Cross-functional teams including analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders
Analytical workloads supporting performance, commercial, and strategic use cases
Scalable, production-grade data pipelines and cloud infrastructure
Responsibilities
Build and maintain reliable, scalable data pipelines
Manage and optimise cloud storage and data warehousing
Ensure data quality, security, lineage, and maintainability
Design and implement analytical data models to support reporting and advanced analytics
Balance batch and streaming ingestion approaches based on use case requirements
Contribute to engineering best practices including testing, CI/CD and documentation

Key Experience
Strong SQL and Python, including query optimisation and window functions
Hands-on experience with Databricks and Spark
Strong understanding of data modelling (3NF, dimensional modelling, star/snowflake schemas, data vault concepts)
Experience designing and operating ELT/ETL pipelines
Familiarity with data quality frameworks, SLA monitoring and lineage tracking
Experience with Snowflake and dbt
Proficiency with AWS
Experience with version control, CI/CD and testing
Comfortable working in Agile environments (Jira, Confluence)
Proactive, collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn
Interest in sport, media, or entertainment is a strong plus
