Data Migration Business Analyst (Pensions) Contract | Outside IR35 | Immediate Start
We're looking for an experienced Data Migration Business Analyst to support a pensions data migration project, helping to ensure high-quality data is migrated from a legacy platform into a strategic target system.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong data analysis and stakeholder engagement skills, ideally gained within pensions or financial services. Location
Manchester - Hybrid working with a minimum of 1 day per week on-site (more as required)

The Role Working closely with IT and Pension Administration teams, you'll analyse legacy data, identify data quality issues and gaps, and support the remediation required to enable a successful migration. Key Responsibilities
Review data extracts from legacy systems to identify and document data quality issues.
Analyse data anomalies such as invalid National Insurance number formats, incorrect field values and missing information.
Work alongside the IT Development Manager to identify data gaps between the legacy and strategic systems.
Engage with Pension Administration teams to understand the business context behind data requiring remediation.
Document findings, data issues and recommendations to support migration activities.
Help improve the quality and completeness of data prior to loading into the target platform.
Experience Required
Previous experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst on data migration or transformation projects.
Strong data analysis and data quality assessment skills.
Experience identifying and documenting data issues, gaps and remediation requirements.
Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Excellent analytical, documentation and communication skills.
Desirable
Experience within Pensions, Life & Pensions or Financial Services.
Previous involvement in legacy system migrations or platform transformation programmes.
Knowledge of pensions administration data and member records.
