Location: Hybrid (UK) Salary: £80,000
We're partnering with a highly successful, private equity-backed organisation that is embarking on a major data transformation journey.
The business has recognised data as a strategic asset and has recently invested in leadership and technology to create a modern, enterprise-wide data capability. As part of this greenfield transformation, they're looking for an experienced Data Architect to take ownership of the organisation's data platform strategy and design.
This is a role offering autonomy, visibility with senior stakeholders and the chance to make a lasting impact across the entire business.
As the Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and governing the enterprise data platform, creating a scalable and secure foundation for reporting, analytics, AI, and future innovation.
Working closely with executive stakeholders and technology leadership, you'll define the architectural vision while driving the implementation of a modern Lakehouse and Data Warehouse environment built on Microsoft and Databricks technologies.
Designing enterprise-scale data warehouse and Lakehouse architectures
Developing data platform strategies using Microsoft Fabric OneLake and Databricks
Building scalable data models and storage frameworks
Establishing robust governance, security, lineage and access control frameworks
Creating modern data integration and transformation pipelines
Defining CI/CD and deployment standards for data products
Driving the adoption of best practices across architecture, performance and scalability
Collaborating with senior business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into technical solutions
Enterprise data warehouse architecture and design
Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform technologies and modern Lakehouse architectures
Databricks, Unity Catalog and Delta Lake
PySpark, Databricks, SQL
Medallion Architecture implementation
Data modelling approaches including Star Schema and Data Vault
Data governance, security and access management
