DATA ANALYST REMOTE (UK)

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Data Analyst with a strong finance background to join a growing, data-driven organisation. Sitting within a small finance team and reporting to the Finance Director, you'll play a key role in improving reporting, strengthening data quality, and supporting business decision-making through financial and operational insights.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Dtaa Analyst will

Own and develop finance reporting and management information.

Support quarterly forecasting processes and maintaining financial models covering forecasts, business plans, and cash flow.

Reconcile data across Xero, SQL, and Power BI environments.

Manage and uploading finance and operational data.

Produce board-level reporting on cash performance, operational metrics, and key business KPIs.

Analyse large datasets to identify trends, variances, and performance against expectations.

Build new reports and enhancing existing reporting processes.

Investigate data discrepancies and ensuring data integrity.

Collaborate with finance, technology, and data stakeholders to improve reporting capabilities.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience

Strong accounting or finance background with experience in financial analysis and reporting.

Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis.

Practical experience using SQL and Power BI.

Experience working with large datasets, reconciliations, and data validation.

Ability to interpret financial and operational data and communicate findings clearly.

Comfortable working in a hands-on environment and taking ownership of processes.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.

Able to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
