Credit Control Manager - Warrington | £40,000 - £50,000

We're recruiting for an ambitious and driven Credit Control Manager to join a fast-paced, high-volume business in Warrington. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded credit professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys balancing strategic leadership with day-to-day operational involvement.
The Role As Credit Control Manager, you will lead and develop the credit control function while maintaining responsibility for your own ledger. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring someone who can inspire a team, improve processes, and drive cash collection performance while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, mentor, and develop the credit control team to maximise performance
Take ownership of your own portfolio of key/high-value accounts
Drive cash collection and reduce aged debt across the business
Review and improve credit control processes, procedures, and reporting
Work closely with sales and operations teams to resolve account queries efficiently
Monitor customer credit limits and assess risk exposure
Produce regular KPI and aged debt reports for senior management
Support strategic decisions around credit policy and collections strategy
About You
Proven experience in a Credit Control Manager / Supervisor / Team Leader role
Strong hands-on credit control background with experience managing your own ledger
Demonstrable people management and team leadership experience
Background within a goods-based / product-led business handling high-volume invoicing
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Process-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Confident working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
