We are seeking a dedicated Finance Business Support Assistant to play a pivotal role in supporting our Finance Business Partner. This position involves establishing and maintaining robust controls and frameworks around pricing, promotions, and margin data. The ideal candidate will have a background in finance or accounting and experience in a commercial finance-related role.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Analyse profitability by channel, customer, and SKU.

Administer and process all price changes, including annual reviews and ad-hoc updates.

Manage the day-to-day credit note process and recommend process improvements.

Assist with New Product Development (NPD) financial assessments and gate approvals.

Maintain accurate calculations of customer rebates and overriders, ensuring effective reconciliation.

Prepare regular reports on pricing, rebates, and other commercial metrics.

Collaborate with the wider finance and commercial teams to support business objectives.

Undertake additional duties as required to support the finance function.

Knowledge / Qualifications

Degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline is advantageous; equivalent professional qualifications or relevant experience will also be considered.

Understanding of fundamental accounting and commercial principles (e.g., accruals, reconciliations, ledger management, P&L, overriders).

Experience

At least 1 year of experience in a commercial finance-related role (e.g., finance assistant, accounts assistant, or similar).

Experience working in a fast-paced FMCG environment is highly desirable; candidates from other commercial sectors with transferable skills will also be considered.

Exposure to pricing, margin analysis, or commercial finance processes is an advantage.

Experience using financial software, ERP systems, or digital tools to support finance operations is preferred.

Technical Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with financial software.

Demonstrates strong analytical ability and attention to detail.

Applies basic accounting principles accurately.

Demonstrates the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new digital tools and platforms.
