Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Concrete Plant Supervisor to join our team at our Newport plant. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in a supervisory, production or operations environment who enjoys taking ownership and leading day-to-day site activities.
As Plant Supervisor, you'll play a key role in overseeing concrete production, maintaining high standards of health and safety, and ensuring the smooth running of site operations to meet the needs of our customers. You'll have the autonomy to manage your own site, working closely with colleagues, drivers and customers to deliver a reliable and efficient service.
We're looking for a proactive, hands-on individual with strong communication skills and a commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence.
If successful, you’ll join a regional team and report into the Production Manager. You’ll be working 48 hours a week Monday to Friday and occasional Saturday mornings, however we do ask for some flexibility to meet business demand.

Key Responsibilities
Operate and control mobile concrete batching plants in line with production schedules
Accurately batch materials to meet approved concrete mix design specifications
Monitor plant performance, moisture content, slump and production output to ensure consistent product quality
Carry out routine plant inspections and basic preventative maintenance checks
Adjust plant settings to maintain product quality, consistency and operational efficiency
Record production data, stock levels, delivery documentation and quality control results accurately
Coordinate with quarry operatives, drivers and site supervisors to ensure efficient operations
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards at all times
Identify and report plant faults, breakdown risks or material issues promptly
Maintain high housekeeping standards across the concrete plant
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Experience in a similar role or environment such as asphalt, aggregates, concrete, cement, quarrying or mining
Hardworking, reliable, and professional individual, with good communication skills
NVQ Wheeled Loading Shovel licence is desirable, however full training would be given to the successful applicants
Sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements within a quarry or construction environment.
