Company Accountant

The Role You will take ownership of the company's finance function, overseeing all day-to-day accounting activities, including hands-on transactional processing of the purchase and sales ledgers through to management reporting, cash flow management, budgeting and month-end processes. Working closely with senior leadership, you will provide financial insight to support business decisions, ensure compliance with company policies and reporting deadlines, and drive improvements to systems and processes.Alongside your finance responsibilities, you will assist with HR and payroll. You will also manage an administrative support team member and play a key role in supporting the continued growth and development of the business.

What You Can Bring to the Role You will have a recognised finance qualification or substantial experience in a similar finance leadership role, together with strong hands-on bookkeeping and management accounts reporting expertise. Previous experience using Sage and producing accurate financial information will be essential.You will be highly organised, commercially aware and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Strong communication skills are important, as you will work closely with internal stakeholders and international colleagues.You will be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of your workload and identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies. A professional, reliable and confidential approach is essential, along with strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills and a genuine willingness to contribute as part of a collaborative team.
