Commercial Product Manager -Lending
£40-50k per annum, dependent on experience
Monday-Friday, 9am-5.15pm, 36.25 hours per week
This role can be based at either of Haydock Head office, Merseyside or our Welwyn Garden City office, Hertfordshire.
Hybrid role: 3 days per week in office
About the Role
Handepay (part of the PayPoint Group) offers business financing to its Handepay and PayPoint small business customers, helping them to manage their cashflow and grow their businesses. This role is responsible for devising, launching and growing new lending products to small business and mid-corporate businesses.
Working with third party Lending providers, this position offers both strategic and executional responsibility. With the Support of the Head of Product and Proposition, you will actively engage 3rd party providers and internal cross-functional teams to identify, launch and scale new Lending products to drive short and long-term growth initiatives.
You will play a key role in delivering data-driven forecasting and analysis, working in partnership with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Analytics, Legal and external Lending partners to drive delivery of monthly and annual targets.
This is suited to an established Product Manager / Partnerships Manager or a proactive Assistant Product Manager (with 2-3 years Product experience) ready for the next-level in their career. You will possess strong organisational skills, a customer-centric mindset, effective collaboration and influencing skills with a passion for continuous improvement.
Owns the development and delivery of the new Lending product and commercial roadmap aligned to business goals and revenue targets
Defines and prioritises a backlog of growth initiatives
Influences the end-to-end product lifecycle for newly launched and established lending products
Leads cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Technical and external partners) to drive alignment
Makes commercial decisions on pricing, proposition and growth levers
Acts as a subject matter expert across the organisation
Engages with external partners to build market knowledge and network
Liaises with external product partners to deliver activity in line with agreed plans and timelines
Maintains strong project management to ensure initiatives are delivered on time and to a high standard
Provides support to the Head of Product and Proposition to initiate new product developments and to shape future Lending strategy
About You
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in a Product or Partnerships role (ideally Financial Services / Lending)
Experience in delivering product plans with external partners and internal cross-functional teams
Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse performance and drive product level decisions. Ability to use excel is essential
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Collaborative team player with strong stakeholder management skills
Positive, proactive and solutions-focused attitude
Customer-centric mindset with a passion for challenging the status quo to drive future growth
Advantageous Experience
Experience working within payments or lending
Exposure to regulated industries
