Commercial Finance Manager

Robert Half is delighted to be supporting a global manufacturing organisation in the recruitment of a Commercial Finance Manager based at its site near Stirling.

This is a highly visible role that sits at the heart of the business, partnering closely with operational and senior leadership teams to drive financial performance, support strategic decision-making, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and cash generation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting multiple operational areas, providing meaningful financial insight and challenge while helping deliver both short and long-term business objectives.

This opportunity would suit an ambitious finance professional who enjoys working in a commercially focused environment and wants to make a tangible impact on business performance. Key Responsibilities

Act as the lead finance business partner to key operational areas across the site.

Build strong relationships with operational leaders to understand performance drivers and support strategic decision-making.

Provide insightful financial analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for performance improvement.

Support initiatives aimed at improving profitability, operational efficiency, and cash flow.

Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes for designated business areas.

Produce and present monthly management accounts and performance reporting.

Deliver detailed variance analysis, cost reporting, and business performance commentary.

Monitor inventory and operational costs, providing recommendations to improve financial outcomes.

Support investment appraisals, business cases, and commercial decision-making.

Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.

Support internal and external audit requirements as required.

Work closely with the wider finance team and senior leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

Proven experience in a Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance, Management Accounting, or Financial Analysis role.

Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

Experience providing financial insight to non-finance stakeholders.

Commercially minded with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial reporting systems.

Previous experience within manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or a complex business environment would be advantageous.
