Job Description

The Business Our client is a rapidly expanding UK-based technology and digital solutions company supporting a broad portfolio of enterprise clients across multiple sectors. As the business continues to scale, they are looking to strengthen their commercial finance function with the appointment of a Senior Commercial Finance Manager. This is a highly visible role working closely with operational and leadership teams to support strategic growth, improve commercial performance, and enhance financial decision-making across the organisation.

The Role This position will play a central role in supporting commercial and operational teams with financial insight, performance analysis, and strategic planning. You will act as a trusted advisor to department heads while leading a small finance team and helping drive improvements across reporting and planning processes. Key Duties

Work closely with senior leadership to support commercial strategy and business planning

Produce detailed financial models, forecasts, and performance analysis

Provide meaningful commercial insight to support operational decision-making

Oversee monthly reporting activities and ensure delivery of accurate management information

Support budgeting and long-range planning processes across multiple business areas

Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency

Drive process improvements across finance systems, controls, and reporting

Mentor and manage junior finance team members

Build strong cross-functional relationships across operational and support functions

Candidate Profile

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

Previous experience within commercial finance, FP&A, or strategic finance roles

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data clearly

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities

Experience partnering with non-finance teams in a commercial environment

Proven ability to manage priorities within a fast-moving business

Strong leadership skills with experience developing junior staff

Commercially aware, proactive, and solutions-focused

Preferred Experience

Background within technology, digital services, or professional services environments

Experience working within high-growth or transformation-focused organisations

Exposure to systems improvement or business change projects
