Job Description
A returning client of ours is seeking a commercially minded Commercial Analyst EMEA to support financial and commercial decision-making across the business. This role is ideal for someone with 1–3 years’ experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to turn data into meaningful insights. Experience within the technology sector is highly advantageous. You will be working with the Head of Commercial Analytics within the Finance department to make recommendations on pricing activity to the business. As the Commercial Analyst you will be responsible for ensuring that all pricing is processed correctly and captured into our business systems. Identifying opportunities to develop new reports and analytics to deliver pricing insights and drive higher levels of business performance.
Key Responsibilities
The Commercial Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all pricing is processed correctly and captured into our business systems
Analyse financial and commercial data to support business performance and growth
Produce regular reports and dashboards using Advanced Excel and Power BI
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve commercial outcomes
Identifying opportunities to develop new reports and analytics to deliver pricing insights and drive higher levels of business performance.
Maintain & develop pricing tools & processes
Partner with finance and wider business teams to provide insight and recommendations
Maintain data accuracy and improve reporting efficiency
Assist with ad-hoc analysis to support strategic decisions
Required Skills & Experience
1–3 years’ experience in a commercial analyst, finance analyst, or similar role
Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
Advanced Excel skills (e.g. Pivot Tables, complex formulas, Power Query)
Strong Power BI experience (data modelling, dashboards, reporting)
Ability to translate data into clear, commercial insight
Confident communicator with stakeholders at different levels
Essential qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience
Advanced IT skills, BI Reporting / SQL / data management skills
Experience of maintaining large data sets, ideally pricing or sales related
A commercial mind-set with the ability to analyse the output of models beyond the reporting of financial data, providing in-depth business insight
Continuous improvement – a driver of transformational change
Effective time management and organisational skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to create and manage effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
