Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council and South West Birmingham NHS Trust work in partnership to deliver high-quality short-term care and support services for local residents. We are currently seeking a motivated and organised Business Support Officer to join Harvest View, an 80-bed reablement facility located in Rowley Regis.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting frontline health and social care services by providing efficient and professional administrative support.
About the Role
As a Business Support Officer, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the service. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, professionals and colleagues, helping to maintain high standards of customer service while supporting a busy multidisciplinary team.
Providing professional frontline administrative support
Managing telephone and email enquiries
Maintaining accurate records and data systems
Supporting staff with administrative and operational processes
Coordinating information and documentation across teams
Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant policies and procedures
Delivers excellent customer service
Has strong organisational and administrative skills
Can manage competing priorities in a busy environment
Works effectively both independently and as part of a team
Communicates confidently with colleagues, professionals and members of the public
Demonstrates attention to detail and a proactive approach
Essential Requirements
OCR Level 2 qualification in Word Processing or equivalent
GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths, or equivalent qualification
A minimum of two years' experience in an administrative or business support role
Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Working Pattern
Evening shifts (typically 4:00pm to 8:00pm)
Day shifts (typically 9:00am to 5:30pm)
Weekend working, including shifts between 8:00am and 8:00pm
There are two posts available – 19 hours and 20 hours per week.
