Business Development Manager
Location: Fully remote – UK
Salary: £40,000 basic | OTE: £50,000
Travel: National and occasional international travel The Opportunity Paradigm Employment Services is recruiting an experienced Sales Manager for an established organisation operating at the heart of the UK IT channel.
This fully remote role will drive membership growth, strengthen existing member relationships and develop commercially valuable partnerships with technology vendors and industry partners.
Candidates must have Managed Service Provider experience and a proven commercial sales background within IT. You will understand the vendor, distributor, reseller and MSP landscape and be confident engaging business owners, senior decision-makers and technology partners.
The role combines new business development, membership sales, retention, relationship management and vendor partnership development. Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver a sales plan to grow membership across the UK IT and MSP community.
Identify, approach and convert MSPs, IT resellers, retailers and other technology businesses into new members.
Manage the sales pipeline from prospecting through to proposal, negotiation and close.
Achieve agreed member acquisition, retention and vendor-partner revenue targets.
Communicate the commercial value of membership, including collaboration, vendor access, events and industry connections.
Develop business cases demonstrating membership benefits, return on investment and vendor-partnership value.
Build long-term relationships with existing members to improve engagement, satisfaction and retention.
Act as a key contact for members, vendors and commercial partners.
Identify and develop relationships with technology vendors and partners aligned with commercial priorities.
Build trusted relationships with business owners, managing directors and senior IT-channel leaders.
Support commercial negotiations involving pricing, contracts, service levels and partnership terms.
Support the successful onboarding of new members, vendors and partners.
Conduct regular member and vendor review meetings and monitor performance against agreed KPIs.
Work with marketing on member-acquisition campaigns, partner PR, sponsorship and industry events.
Represent the organisation at meetings, networking events and conferences in the UK and internationally.
Research market trends, competitor activity, emerging technologies and new commercial opportunities.
Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts and monthly reports covering pipeline, membership, vendor activity, deals and risks.
Provide market and member feedback to help improve services and the overall membership proposition.
Ensure activity complies with relevant legal, financial, operational and regulatory requirements.
Essential Experience
Recent and demonstrable experience within the Managed Service Provider sector. MSP experience is essential.
A strong commercial sales, business development or membership-sales background within IT.
Experience working with the IT channel, including vendors, distributors, resellers or technology partners.
Knowledge of the IT hardware and device market, ideally involving brands such as Lenovo, Apple, Dell or Samsung.
A proven record of generating new business, developing pipelines and closing commercial opportunities.
Experience selling a value-led membership, service or partnership proposition.
Strong knowledge of vendor relationships and the wider IT channel.
Confidence engaging business owners, managing directors and senior decision-makers.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
An understanding of procurement, distribution or IT supply-chain models, supported by strong sales capability.
Experience working to commercial targets, KPIs and reporting requirements.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote role and manage a UK-wide territory.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally.

What Is Offered
£40,000 basic salary with OTE of £50,000.
