Location: Heywood Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 Working Pattern: Hybrid Role Type: Permanent The Opportunity We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager / IT Sales professional to join a growing technology business.
This is a new-business-focused sales role, with some account management responsibility. Your primary focus will be identifying, approaching and winning new customers, before developing and growing those relationships as part of your portfolio.
You'll have the opportunity to sell across a broad IT portfolio, including IT infrastructure, managed IT services and global hardware maintenance, supported by experienced technical and delivery specialists. Key Responsibilities
Proactively identify, prospect and win new customers.
Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline through outbound activity and networking.
Lead new customers through the onboarding process.
Manage and develop customer relationships once accounts are established.
Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and expand the services they use.
Sell IT infrastructure, managed IT services and hardware maintenance solutions.
Work alongside technical and delivery teams to scope and position solutions.
Own opportunities through the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through to proposal, negotiation and handover.
Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity.
Engage confidently with senior stakeholders, including IT Directors, CIOs and C-level decision makers.
What We're Looking For We're looking for someone with a proven background in IT sales or Business Development Manager, ideally gained within a:
VAR / IT reseller
MSP / Managed Services provider
IT infrastructure business
IT hardware provider
Technology services organisation
You'll need to be a genuine new-business hunter who is comfortable prospecting, opening doors and converting opportunities, rather than purely managing an existing or inbound account base.
Experience selling across areas such as IT infrastructure, hardware, managed services or hardware maintenance would be highly beneficial.
You should also be confident managing commercial conversations, building relationships with senior stakeholders and owning your own sales pipeline. Why This Role? This is a great opportunity for an ambitious IT sales professional who enjoys winning new business, but also wants the opportunity to build long-term customer relationships and grow accounts.
You'll have the backing of experienced technical and delivery specialists, allowing you to focus on relationships, opportunity development and commercial success.
