We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join the Commercial team and support the distribution of the Lenders specialist mortgage products.
This is a full-time remote position responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining intermediary relationships, developing strategic plans, and managing sales processes.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the National Sales Director to develop and implement strategies that grow the businesses market share within the specialist lending sector.
Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, packagers, mortgage clubs, and distribution partners.
Provide guidance and support to brokers and packagers to optimise performance and customer outcomes.
Maintain broker engagement plans for all key and volume relationships, including performance against agreed targets.
Represent the business at industry events, associations, and community engagements to enhance brand visibility and credibility.
Work collaboratively with the Underwriting team to provide feedback and contribute to the credit risk appetite process.
Identify new business opportunities and develop innovative approaches to meet market and customer needs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date partner records within the CRM system.
Support the growth and success of the Commercial department by working collaboratively across the business.
Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key Knowledge and Skills
3 years BDM experience
Experience across both regulated and non-regulated lending environments.
Strong understanding of specialist lending products, lender criteria, affordability assessments, and market competition.
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Strong IT proficiency
