Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) Payroll
Uncapped commission
Location: Field based across the United Kingdom, home based, with regular travel to contractor offices and sites.
Accomplish Today's client provides payroll services to the construction industry, managing subcontractor payments under the Construction Industry Scheme and keeping contractors compliant with HMRC. We are looking for an experienced new business hunter to bring construction contractors onto their CIS payroll service.
This is not an account management role. You will be comfortable sitting across the table from a contractor in their own office, understanding their business, and closing the deal in person.
Success in this role is measured simply. It is not meetings booked, and it is not a pipeline of interested prospects. It is contractors who are actually running payroll with us, ideally within the first week of signing.
Key responsibilities
Identify and approach construction contractors who could benefit from moving their subcontractor payroll onto a compliant CIS solution
Build relationships directly with business owners and decision makers, in person, on their own ground
Understand each contractor's current payroll and subcontractor arrangements, and present a clear case for switching
Close new business and support contractors through onboarding, so payroll is actually running quickly after signature
Maintain accurate records of your pipeline and activity
Represent Accomplish Today's client professionally across a UK wide territory, working both business to business and where relevant, directly with self employed subcontractors
About you
Proven experience in new business development, ideally within construction, payroll, or a related field, not account management
Genuine, working knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme and how contractors and subcontractors operate within it
Comfortable working independently, home based, with regular travel to meet contractors face to face
Confident closing business directly with owners and decision makers, rather than working through agencies or intermediaries
A track record of turning conversations into revenue, not just meetings
An existing, portable book of construction contractor contacts is welcome, though not essential
Full driving licence
What is on offer
A basic salary of £40,000 to £50,000 dependent on experience
Uncapped commission, paid on payroll that actually runs, not on names on a list
A genuinely field based role, working from home and on the road, not tied to a desk
If you know CIS, you know contractors, and you are happier winning new business in person than sending another email, we would like to hear from you.
