On Behalf of Arup, we are looking for a Business Change Manager for a 12-month contract based in London, hybrid (2/3 days in the office per week).

Purpose of the role

We are seeking an experienced Change Manager to support a portfolio of transformation initiatives, working across multiple concurrent projects and internal stakeholder groups. This role requires a highly adaptable change professional who can successfully balance competing priorities, drive enterprise-wide change adoption, and build strong relationships across diverse business areas.

The successful candidate will bring extensive experience leading change within complex, matrixed organisations, with the ability to switch seamlessly between multiple initiatives while maintaining a relentless focus on delivery, stakeholder engagement, and business outcomes.

What you'll do

Develop and deliver change strategies, plans, and interventions across a portfolio of transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.

Lead stakeholder engagement activities, building strong relationships with sponsors, senior leaders, SMEs, and delivery teams to drive adoption and successful outcomes.

Conduct change impact, readiness, and risk assessments, identifying dependencies, adoption barriers, and mitigation actions.

Create and execute communication, engagement, learning, and adoption plans, including leadership briefings, training support, and benefits tracking.

Maintain a portfolio-wide view of change impacts, priorities, risks, and dependencies across multiple programmes.

Support pilots, rollouts, and implementation activities, ensuring smooth transition into business-as-usual operations.

Monitor progress, measure adoption, and provide reporting to support decision-making and sustainable change outcomes.

The skills you'll need

Certified Change Management Practitioner (Prosci, APMG, or equivalent) with experience delivering change within complex, enterprise-scale organisations.

Proven experience managing multiple concurrent transformation programmes and competing stakeholder priorities.

Strong background delivering change across process, technology, systems, data, capability, and operating model transformations.

Expertise in stakeholder engagement, executive communications, change impact assessments, readiness planning, adoption, and benefits realisation.

Excellent organisational, prioritisation, influencing, and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and fast-paced environments.

Experience working with senior leadership, driving measurable business outcomes, and delivering sustainable change.

Exposure to global or multi-region transformation programmes, ideally within professional services, consulting, engineering, or corporate environments.

Experience supporting portfolio-level change initiatives, CRM transformations, and working across multiple internal client groups.
