Business Analyst / Agile Lead (CRM Implementation) - 9 month FTC - £55K-£60K pro rata - Hybrid London - Third Sector Preferred
A well-established third sector client / charity is migrating its CRM from Blackbaud Raiser's Edge to Salesforce, with Go Live targeted for March 2027. This is a hands-on Business Analyst role with a strong Agile coordination and testing-standards remit. You'll be the day-to-day link between the charity and the third-party platform team, working alongside the Head of IT (who owns the initiative and will also liaise directly with the third party).
The charity is bought into Agile in principle but doesn't have deep in-house practical experience running it; part of this role is bringing that discipline and confidence to internal stakeholders without overcomplicating it. There's no dedicated Scrum Master on this project; the testers are in place, but someone needs to own user story quality, acceptance criteria, and the standard of testing coordination across the remaining three sprints.
This is a defined 6-month piece of delivery work within the 9-month contract, running through to Go Live readiness and beyond.
What you'll be doing
Acting as the primary charity-side point of coordination with the third-party platform build team
Writing and refining user stories and acceptance criteria to a high standard
Running or supporting core Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog grooming, retros) and helping embed good practice with stakeholders who are new to it
Coordinating UAT and setting the standard for testing rigour, without executing test scripts personally
Reporting into the Head of IT, feeding progress and risk into the wider project
Supporting internal change readiness ahead of March 2027 Go Live
What you'll bring
Solid Business Analyst experience gained on CRM or similar platform migration projects, ideally Salesforce
Genuine working knowledge of Agile delivery, not just familiarity with the terminology
Experience writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria, and coordinating UAT with stakeholders
Comfortable acting as a coordination point between an internal team and an external delivery partner
Confidence to introduce Agile discipline to stakeholders who are enthusiastic but inexperienced in it
Commercial sector background welcome; charity / nonprofit / third sector experience is a bonus, not a requirement
Practical fit
This role suits people who work on a project basis by choice; career interims and contractors used to 6-12 month engagements, people between contracts with timing that lines up, or anyone actively available for a September start. It's a genuinely varied, high-visibility piece of work with real ownership, not a back-office BA seat.
