Based in Alderley Park, they are offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to join their Biomarker team as a Scientist on a temporary contract basis due to a flurry of new projects, focused on metabolomics, lipidomics and proteomics studies utilising mass spectrometry and mass spec imaging techniques.
The Role
This is a role for Scientist who have significant experience in biomarker mass spec (MS) experience. As a Biomarker Scientist, you will be responsible for:
Designing and delivering end-to-end metabolomics, lipidomics and proteomics projects, focused on using mass spectrometry (MS), starting with biological sample preparation, through to data analysis.
Working on a high-tech mass-spec imaging Rapid Evaporative Ionization Mass Spectrometry (REIMS) platform, as well as time-of-flight analysers.
Working on collaborative projects with external and internal clients and colleagues.
Interpretation and presentation of mass spec biomarker project data.
Handling biological samples (cells, tissues etc).
Working independently and collaboratively as part of a wider drug discovery team.
