As an Audit Associate in the Liverpool office, you will work closely with managers, directors, and partners to deliver high-quality audits across a diverse client base, gaining exposure to a broad range of industries and assignments. Description
The Audit Associate will play a key role in supporting the planning, execution, and completion of audits, working directly with clients and senior team members. Alongside core audit work, there will also be opportunities to contribute to specialist assignments such as assurance reporting, forensic accounting, and due diligence.
Key Responsibilities include
Complete audit work in accordance with planning documentation.
Assist Lead Audit Associates / Senior Audit Associates with audit fieldwork.
Support, plan and finalise audit engagements, working directly with the client under Manager / Director / Partner supervision.
Direct communication with client finance staff to obtain audit evidence.
Drafting of reports, letters and other documentation to be provided to clients.
Progress and develop your own skills and knowledge in line with your agreed goals and objectives.
Ad-hoc assignments, including potential opportunities to be involved in other assurance report assignments (service charge, client money, SRA, grant claims, etc), forensic accounting and financial due diligence reporting.
Profile
The ideal Audit Associate will have
ACA/ACCA studies underway
12-18 months' experience working in audit within an accountancy practice
Strong written and spoken communication skills, especially with clients
Good organisational and time management skills, able to work under pressure
High attention to detail and an analytical, methodical approach
Proactivity, self-motivation, and strong interpersonal skills
Be able to commute to Liverpool 2 times per week
