Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Production Manager at our Disley papermaking and recycling site near Stockport.

Disley’s Assistant Production Manager will work closely with the Production Manager and will demonstrate hands-on leadership with a CI-driven approach and provide managerial and technical support to the Production team.

This exciting opportunity is Days based, Monday to Thursday from 08:00 - 17:00 (or 07:00 - 16:00), and Friday from 08:00 to 16:00 (or 07:00 to 15:00).

About the Role The role is instrumental in ensuring efficiency, quality and production targets are achieved, as well as planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance activities in collaboration with the Engineering team.

You will support the planning and execution of day-to-day papermaking and manufacturing activities, setting standards and implementing all aspects of the SQCDM framework. You’ll ensure all activities are performed in compliance with safety protocol and procedures, fostering a culture of zero-harm by choice.

You will also support the Production Manager in delivering CAPEX projects on time and within budget.

As a people leader, your responsibilities will include team motivation, development, carrying out Performance Management Reviews/Appraisals, and conducting Key Operator meetings on at least two occasions per year.
