Assistant management accountant

The Business We are working with a fast-growing business in Manchester recruiting a dynamic Assistant Management Accountant. The role will be hands-on across bank reconciliations, payments, accounting processes, and operational finance

The Role This person will play a critical role in supporting financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and producing high-quality financial reporting that supports business decisions. Reporting to the Finance Manager, duties include:

Reconcile daily bank transactions across operational accounts

Post, process, and match supplier and operational invoices.

Run and manage BACS payment processes, currently performed manually.

Process and review employee expenses.

Assist in the preparation and review of monthly management accounts

Review, post, and reconcile monthly payroll.

Assist with VAT reconciliations and filings.

Part qualified or working towards an accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, ACA, CIMA)

Experience operating in a finance role

Confident working in a fast pace environment

Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
