Assistant Management Accountant Salary: Up to £35,000 Location: Remote (with West Midlands hub for in-person training & collaboration) Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Opportunity We're looking for an ambitious and detail-driven Assistant Management Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to step up into a more involved, commercially focused finance role, working closely with a Finance Manager and gaining exposure across a wide range of accounting activities. What You'll Be Doing You'll play a key role in delivering accurate and insightful financial information, including:

Leading on key aspects of the month-end close, including accruals, prepayments, and variance analysis

Performing balance sheet reconciliations, identifying risks and escalating issues where necessary

Managing the import and reconciliation of credit card transactions

Preparing invoices in line with billing schedules

Producing and distributing monthly management accounts, acting as a point of contact for queries

Supporting the monthly Delivery Partner billing process and preparing reporting packs

Delivering ad-hoc analysis and reporting to support business decision-making

Assisting with the year-end audit, including preparing schedules and liaising with auditors

About You You're proactive, organised, and looking to take the next step in your finance career. We're looking for someone who:

Has solid experience in a finance or accounts role, with strong exposure to

Month-end processes

Balance sheet reconciliations

Is self-motivated, with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Can manage multiple deadlines and perform well under pressure

Communicates confidently, building strong relationships with stakeholders

Skills & Qualifications

AAT Level 2, 3 or 4 (or equivalent)

Experience in an accounts or finance assistant role including Accruals and Prepayments

Good understanding of accounting principles within a commercial setting
