Goole | 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract

We are looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join a well-established finance function in Goole on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

This role would suit someone with a good grounding in financial accounting who is comfortable working to deadlines and wants to broaden their experience across month-end and reporting.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial accounting function, including:

Supporting the month-end close and preparation of financial information

Posting journals and assisting with the maintenance of accurate accounting records

Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations

Assisting with accruals, prepayments and other month-end adjustments

Helping to produce regular financial reports and analysis

Providing information and support during audit periods

Investigating discrepancies and responding to finance-related queries

Assisting with other accounting tasks and projects as required

About You

The successful Assistant Financial Accountant will ideally have

Previous experience within a financial accounting or similar finance role

Experience of month-end accounting and balance sheet reconciliations

Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems

Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach

The ability to manage your workload and meet deadlines

Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively

A proactive attitude and willingness to take on new responsibilities

This is a good opportunity for an Assistant Financial Accountant based in or around Goole who is available for a 6-month FTC and looking to build on their existing financial accounting experience.
