Assistant Accountant, Harrogate, £30,000 - £34,000, Hybrid Working

Are you an experienced finance professional looking for your next opportunity? We're delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established business based in the heart of Harrogate, who are looking to appoint an organised and detail-focused Assistant Accountant to join their friendly finance team.

Reporting directly to the Finance Controller, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function while contributing to the ongoing development of financial processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

Daily banking and cash reconciliations.

Supporting month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, journals and financial reporting.

Managing the sales and purchase ledger and allocating customer payments.

Assisting with the continuous improvement of finance processes and internal controls.

Providing general support to the wider finance team as required.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a finance or accounting role.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Experience using Sage 50 would be advantageous.

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

What's on Offer

Office-based Monday to Thursday (9:00am - 5:00pm) with working from home on Fridays.

Central Harrogate location
