Assistant Accountant

The Assistant Accountant will play an essential role in supporting the accounting and finance team within the industrial/manufacturing sector. This position requires a detail-oriented professional to assist with financial reporting, reconciliations, and general accounting tasks in Warrington.

Description

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.

Assist with monthly and year-end financial close processes.

Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and general ledger accounts.

Support budget preparation and financial forecasting activities.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Process invoices, payments, and expense claims.

Provide support during internal and external audits.

Collaborate with the wider accounting and finance team to improve financial processes.

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have

A formal qualification or part-qualification in accounting or finance.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong organisational and time management abilities.
