Your new company A well-established company that offers a tailored and bespoke service to their customers, requires an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team.
Your new role Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial records while supporting the wider finance function. Responsibilities include:
Daily bank postings across multiple currencies and group bank accounts
Monthly bank reconciliations
Processing payment runs through Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Credit card and expenses reconciliations, including posting into Business Central
Month-end responsibility for fixed assets, prepayments, accruals and intercompany accounts
Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Providing support to the Credit Control and Accounts Payable teams when required
Assisting external auditors with information requests and year-end processes
Supporting the wider business with ad hoc finance projects and reporting requirements
What you'll need to succeed We are looking for a finance professional likely to be studying AAT or early stages of CIMA/ACCA, with excellent communication and customer service skills, who can build effective working relationships across the business. You will have strong attention to detail and take pride in producing accurate work, whilst being able to work independently and manage your workload effectively. A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving is essential, along with previous experience in reconciliations and some month-end duties like accruals/prepayments and journals. Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be advantageous or similar ERP system exposure, although training can be provided for the right individual.
