Assistant Accountant

Accountable Recruitment are working with a well-established UK organisation to recruit an Assistant Accountant into their finance team.

Study support for CIMA / ACCA

Key Responsibilities

Support the month-end close, including payroll postings and journals

Post cost recharges, commercial journals and intercompany transactions

Process and reconcile daily bank transactions and control accounts

Assist with cashflow reporting and group cash submissions

Support monthly and quarterly VAT returns

Assist with balance sheet, intercompany and AR/AP reconciliations

Support audits, statutory reporting and process improvements

Skills & Experience

Experience in an accounts or finance support role (preferred, not essential)

Strong Excel skills (pivots, lookups, SUMIFS, XLOOKUPs)

ERP system experience desirable (Business Central advantageous)

High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
