Job Description: Area Sales Manager
In this role you will be supporting existing dealers and appointing new dealers in order to drive growth in sales, distribution and market share. Home based, you will travel extensively throughout the North of England in order to:
Agree and execute a sales strategy to deliver sales and distribution targets.
Negotiate all commercial terms with the guidance of the Country Manager.
Sales prospecting of end-user targets. Eg. Groundscare contractors, local authorities, sport facilities.
Liaison with Demonstrators to support end-user sales appointments and provide dealer-based training.
Drive high standards in areas of product knowledge, showroom displays and branding.
Demonstrate strong teamwork with shared learning and best practice.
Attend internal product training events to achieve an expert level of knowledge
Attend consumer events (eg. Agricultural shows) as required.
A global player in battery-powered garden and power tool products with highly successful product launches in Europe, the US and Canada. Through product innovation the company is driving the transition from petrol to battery power and in intelligent robotic mowers. The Uk business is young but successful and growing rapidly.
Candidate profile: Area Sales Manager
This is a key role with an ambitious company that is achieving rapid growth in the professional groundscare market. Key requirements are:
At least 3 years of successful experience in a field sales role within a supplier of outdoor power products or similar.
Clear understanding of the requirements of OPE dealers and end-user groups.
Able to build strong relationships with customers at all levels.
Able to lead, and coordinate Demonstrators.
Sufficient experience, commercial acumen and communication skill to execute sales strategies that will inspire dealers and end-users.
A hands-on style – able to train, educate and demonstrate all products when required.
Numerate, articulate and IT competent.
Energetic, resilient, gregarious with a positive outlook.
First class communication skills and a confident public speaker.
Excellent planning and organisation skills. Able to manage shifting priorities.
Hardworking – prepared for long days and overnight stays.
A natural interest in outdoor powered products and a thirst to improve knowledge to expert level.
The successful candidate will enjoy an attractive basic salary with quarterly and annual bonuses plus a company pick up truck, full training, home based support, 25 days paid holiday, 5% pension contribution, mobile and laptop.
