Analyst - Consulting

Location: Home based, with occasional travel to offices and client sites across the UK and globally Hours: Full time Salary: £40,000 plus car / car allowance, 33 days holiday, pension, bonus, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits including cycle to work scheme

About the Role

As an Analyst in our Consultancy team you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of complex, long-term consulting engagements focused on supply chain optimisation, business transformation, and process improvement. Working collaboratively within a wider project team, you will be responsible for gathering and interpreting quantitative data, mapping current-state processes, and identifying actionable opportunities for operational efficiency. Your role serves as the analytical engine of our project teams, translating raw data into strategic insights that drive measurable value and sustainable growth for our clients.

As part of your key responsibilities, you'll

Perform client-site diagnostics to establish current baselines, evaluate operational flows, and identify supply chain optimisation opportunities

Clean, analyse, and model complex datasets (inventory velocity, network flows, freight costs) to build data-driven cost-benefit analyses

Synthesise complex data findings into structured conclusions and present actionable insights to client project leaders

Track deliverables against project plans, adhering to Consulting Gateway reviews and benefit realisation frameworks

Build strong working relationships with client teams to support capability building and knowledge transfer

Monitor project risks, track countermeasure execution with Project Management Offices, and escalate issues appropriately

Help identify new client project opportunities and assist in preparing pitch decks, tenders, and proposals

Contribute to Unipart Consulting case studies, collateral, and continuous improvement methodologies

About You

We'd love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you'd be able to perform well in this role!

Background as a Supply Chain Analyst, Business Analyst, or Lean/Operations specialist within structured project environments

Degree qualified - or equivalent - in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline

Proficient in Microsoft Excel modelling and PowerPoint, with exposure to Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Alteryx highly desirable

Practical understanding of cost-benefit analysis and financial modelling for operational improvement initiatives

Competency or exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, Change Management, or Unipart Way principles

Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to challenge stakeholders constructively

Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable with strong planning and task execution discipline

Willingness and flexibility to travel across the UK and globally as client project commitments require
