KYC Team Analyst Location: HEX Industry: Financial Services
Our client, a dynamic organisation in the Financial Services sector, is seeking a motivated KYC Team Analyst to join their Financial Crime Middle Office. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute significantly to the first line of defence in identifying and mitigating financial crime and sanctions risks.
Conduct thorough analysis of client KYC files during periodic reviews, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Maintain high-quality client information within the KYC workflow system, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Collaborate with Relationship Managers and other Operational teams to support timely account openings and address KYC documentation queries. Escalate any potential sanctions or financial crime risks to the second line for guidance and advice, including submitting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) when necessary. Participate in on-the-job training for new team members, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Engage in continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies and suggesting enhancements to improve departmental performance.
Strong understanding of financial crime, sanctions, and AML regulatory frameworks. Previous experience in a Customer Due Diligence (CDD) team within a financial institution is beneficial. Desirable qualifications include ICA Certificates or ACAMS, though not mandatory. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex issues clearly across all levels of the organisation.
