AI Product Engineer - Birmingham - Hybrid (3 days a week in office) - £85,000

A growing SaaS business is building the next generation of intelligent software and is looking for an AI Product Engineer to help transform how customers interact with their platform. You'll sit at the intersection of Product and Engineering, designing and delivering AI-driven features from idea through to production. You'll work closely with Product Managers, Designers and Software Engineers to rapidly build innovative solutions powered by Generative AI and modern cloud technologies. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys shipping products rather than working purely on research or infrastructure.

What you'll be doing

Build end-to-end AI product features used by real customers.

Collaborate with Product and Design teams to prototype and validate AI experiences.

Integrate LLMs, AI agents and intelligent workflows into SaaS products.

Develop backend services and frontend experiences supporting AI functionality.

Experiment with prompts, evaluation frameworks and AI performance optimisation.

Own features throughout the full product lifecycle from concept to release.

What we're looking for

Commercial software engineering experience building modern web applications.

Hands-on experience with Generative AI or LLM integrations.

Someone who enjoys experimenting, iterating and shipping quickly.
