AI Engineer Up to £150,000 - London (Hybrid Working)

We are partnering with a leading specialist insurance broker that is investing heavily in its artificial intelligence capabilities to transform how it operates and delivers value to its clients. As part of an ambitious AI strategy, the organisation is seeking an AI Engineer to play a key role in designing, developing and deploying innovative AI-powered solutions across the business.

This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking technology team at the forefront of AI adoption within the insurance sector. You will be responsible for building intelligent applications, AI agents and automation solutions that enhance decision-making, improve operational efficiency and unlock greater value from enterprise data.

This role would suit a technically strong AI Engineer who enjoys working with emerging technologies, solving complex business challenges and delivering solutions at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and deploy AI-powered applications, agents and intelligent workflows

Build clean, maintainable and scalable code to support the delivery of enterprise AI solutions

Develop end-to-end solutions that integrate with internal systems, enterprise platforms and data sources

Apply prompt engineering techniques and support model evaluation, testing and optimisation activities

Ensure AI solutions adhere to established security, governance and responsible AI standards

Design and orchestrate AI-driven workflows to automate business processes and enhance decision-making

Skills & Experience

Experience building scalable and maintainable applications

Experience developing and deploying AI, machine learning or generative AI solutions into production environments

Knowledge of prompt engineering, model evaluation and AI application development best practices

Strong Python development experience and familiarity with modern frameworks and tooling

Experience integrating APIs, enterprise applications and multiple data sources

Experience working within highly regulated environments such as financial services or insurance
