The Role

As an Accounts Supervisor, you will play a key role in managing a varied portfolio of clients while providing guidance and support to junior members of the team. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys rolling their sleeves up, leading by example, and ensuring work is completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation and review of statutory accounts for a diverse client portfolio.

Supervision, mentoring, and development of junior team members.

Supporting managers and partners with client engagements.

Reviewing bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts.

Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted point of contact.

Assisting with tax compliance work and liaising with HMRC where required.

Identifying opportunities to improve processes and add value to clients.

Supporting the wider team during busy periods and contributing wherever needed.

Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within deadlines.

Assisting with onboarding new clients and maintaining excellent service standards.

About You

Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.

Confident preparing accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.

Strong technical accounting knowledge.

Self-motivated with a proactive and positive attitude.

Comfortable supervising and developing junior staff.

Organised with excellent attention to detail.

A team player who is willing to support colleagues and get involved across the business.

ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience considered.
